Sometimes people ask me if it’s hard reading for yourself. And you know what? It is!
But when most people first start learning how to read the tarot cards, runes, or tea leaves, they start by practicing on themselves.
It’s much easier to advance your psychic development by practicing on what I like to call “guinea pigs” first. Guinea pigs are your friends, colleagues, roommates, and other folks who are open to receiving a reading and who would love to get a reading - even if it’s from a beginning reader.
So don’t be afraid to practice A LOT on other people to refine your psychic gifts. You’ll eventually develop the art of reading for yourself, but it might take time.

I’m frequently asked how a psychic reading by email works. Email readings are interesting because just as there is a physical Internet that connects our computers, there is also what my friend Jennifer calls a “cosmic Internet” which is the spiritual “web” or energy that connects all living things.
When a psychic tunes into your energy to do a reading, she first needs an access point to tune in to your particular energy. I like to use the person’s full name and date of birth and I also like to receive a few questions from that person. Even the way a person uses language can be very unique and give a psychic more energy “data” to read.
After that I connect with my higher guidance and your higher guidance and create a bridge of energy which allows me to download anything from picture to feelings to words. It all arrives in different ways for me, so it’s a little like a hologram - sometimes things are very multi-dimensional when I tune into someone.
Isn’t it cool that despite geographic distance, we’re all intimately connected through this web of spiritual energy? I’m constantly amazed by it.
Recently I did a reading for a woman in Russia and reading for her was the same as reading for a friend who has come over for tea. And she lives half a world away from me.
Pretty neat - how the spiritual world unites us all, offering so many opportunities for connecting through the heart and through the mind.
Anyway, that’s my short explanation of how a psychic reading by email works!

I wanted to welcome you to this blog as well as my main website, PsychicReadingsbyDawn.com. My website provides information about how to get a psychic reading by email from me, but I’ll also be posting articles about psychic development and other cool stuff. And I’ll be adding lots of interesting tidbits to this blog, too.
Every parent is naturally protective of their child, but did you know that your baby or psychic child needs spiritual protection? As a new parent to an eight-month-old I’m learning every day how sensitive my boy is to the tiniest of things going on in the house. If I’m projecting cranky energy, he immediately picks up on it. If I take him to a store that has chaotic energy for some reason, he responds right away.
For some time now I’ve been practicing creating spiritual shields of protection around my baby to ward off these disruptive energies, and it’s created a 100% improvement in my Jeremy. He’s gone from a peevish guy who could rarely sleep through the night to a happy, peaceful baby since I began practicing these techniques.
I wanted to share some of the techniques with you, so I’ve written a short article called How to Create a Spiritual Shield of Protection Around Your Psychic Child or Baby.
When you become a mom, a huge cord (the equivalent of a spiritual umbilical cord) of energy connects you and your baby. This is why Mummy and baby are so strongly connected. It’s why you just “know” when something is going on with your child. It’s why you can sense your child’s emotional state even from a far distance, like when he’s playing at school and someone is mean to him on the playground. Mom just knows. Mother’s intuition isn’t theory - it’s a fact!
Babies are 100% psychically open which means they need a lot of protection from their mothers, not just on a physical level, but on a spiritual level too. They need shielding against the disruptive energies that can surround them.
